District Champions - Peewee B Girls

The Breakers 95 girls played a best of three games series for the District 2 Championship on June 13th against the Nanaimo Diamonds. If you were looking for nervous energy, intensity, excitement, and both good offense and defense the Championship provided it all! The Breakers 95 lost the first game 7-5 in a back and forth game and were facing elimination from that point on. The team didn't let it get them down and came out to win the next game 10-1. With the series tied at one a piece the Championship came down to the third and final game of the day. The final game was a tightly played contest but the Breakers' explosive offense came through with a couple timely quality hits. Danielle Powell hit a two-run home run to give the girls a 4-1 win and the Championship! Well done girls!!

Breakers 95 in Marysville, WA

"We got ya!"

The Breakers 95 ventured to Marysville, Washington to face some new competition on June 6/7. Although our girls lost all four games they could just as easily have won all four. After losing 6-3, 5-3, and 7-4 on Saturday to Khaos, Woodinville Reign, and Baker, the girls turned up their play against the very, highly ranked Abbotsford Outlaws in a tight 4-3 loss. The Outlaws went on to win Silver in this tournament as they lost the final game 9-7 in 9 innings to Total Khaos.

"I got this one!"

"We have it surrounded!"
"Just stretching.By the way, it's in my glove!"

Throwing heat!

.... and a bit of shopping was even squeezed in!
