The Ramsay Lampman Rhodes Breakers 95 Bantam B girls team travelled to Granite Falls, WA for a tournament on June 12-13. The team took 2nd place overall after going undefeated until the gold medal game. In round robin play the girls won games against Nooksack Thunder (8-0), Granite Falls Tigers (14-2), and Edmonds Starz (4-3). They then played Nooksack Thunder in the semi-final game and came out ahead 7-2. In the gold medal game the girls had a tough third inning when they gave up five runs to the Edmond Starz who went on to win 5-2. The team played well throughout the weekend and never gave up until the last out was called in the gold medal game. Hayley Craddock, Jamie Belfry, and Taylor Sampson provided the team with effective pitching over the weekend. The entire team contributed at the plate at one time or another. Ashley Elliot certainly had the hot bat this weekend as she had several solid hits including a home run. As well the team was quite effective in utilizing the bunt game. Well done girls!
